Speakers

The experience of A Touch of Understanding is greatly enhanced by the dedication of our speakers who have disabilities. These individuals travel to attend presentations to give students a glimpse into the lives of people with disabilities and help them understand that people with disabilities are people first.

After experiencing our program, many of the students comment, "We may be different on the outside, but we are all the same on the inside."

Meet some of our incredible volunteers who share their insight and experiences with others.  They are excellent role models and, in addition to sharing about disabilities, they help participants learn about determination, perseverance and character.

One student said, "After this presentation, I feel like I can do anything!"  How empowering!
